1-Month Career Training Program
Let's break it down...
Welcome! Thanks for your interest in my signature 1-month Entry-Level Hollywood training program!
In this program, I train the nation's top college students & recent grads to acquire the must-have skills and job hunt techniques needed to land highly-competitive entry-level jobs in the business side of Hollywood at:
In this program, you will work with me 1-on-1 to get crystal clear on your goals, and create a realistic job hunt plan and timeline for your success.
We will create your own personalized job hunt database, revamp your resume, and I will help you ACE all of your upcoming interviews. (Interview prep is my favorite thing to teach and also the most life-changing!)
I will also teach you essential Hollywood Assistant skills, including phone skills.
I am the only person in the country who formally teaches Hollywood Assistant phone skills, which are essential to your entry-level success.
So I have to ask...
Are you ready to take your job hunt to the next level?
Are you serious about landing an entry-level job in Hollywood?
Are your parents supportive of your job hunt efforts - emotionally & financially?
Are you ready for the challenge?
Are you ready to have a competitive advantage over other entry-level Hollywood candidates?
If you answered YES to all these questions, then you’re the exact person I want to work with, and I can’t wait to meet you!
Here is what is included in my 1-month private coaching program:
- We will schedule two (2) bi-weekly 1-hour coaching sessions that work best for your schedule. In our first session, we will delve deep into (and get crystal clear on) your macro career goals, and then make a realistic plan and timeline towards achieving those goals.
- In our sesisons together, we will get to work! We will always have a goal, homework items, and an agenda to discuss - to move you closer towards getting hired.
Notes from Kate:
Every client has a different story, different challenges, different strengths & weaknesses. It's my job to help you shine.
- I will help you revamp your resume for the eyes of discerning entertainment recruiters (like me!), using my Golden Resume Template that has helped my clients get hired time and again
- I will help you create a realistic networking plan for your particular goals and circumstances
- I will help you execute your applications and write stand-out cover letters based on m proven templates
- I will train you how to ACE your interviews. Interview prep is my favorite subject to teach and often the most life-changing for my clients. I can't wait to teach you my proved strategies over Skype (including body language coaching).
Notes from Kate:
If you're sending out tons of applications, but not hearing back, I guarantee you need to revamp your written materials & networking strategy. If you're getting called in for interviews (congrats!), but not getting the job, I guarantee that it's likely you need a revamp of your interview skills. Either way, I've got you covered!
- We will hone, develop, and strengthen your Hollywood Assistant mentality (gotta toughen up!), and phone skills training. Phone fills are essential to the success of a Hollywood Assistant.
- I will walk you through a typical day as an assistant and we will discuss in detail the skills you need to develop and master, as well as the office politics you need to undertand before starting your new position.
Notes from Kate:
Most candidates who enter the Hollywood job market have no idea how difficult entry-level positions will be - emotionally, and financially. I teach my clients the things I wish I had known before I started in the business - the good, the bad, and the ugly. In this way, my clients are better prepared to do well in the industry.
- Together we will create a personalized Job Hunt Database in Google Docs that will serve as our home base for our coaching program.
- The database will include tabs for: your top companies, your networking progress & connections, your job references, your homework items, and more.
Notes from Kate:
The job hunt is 50% mentality and 50% strategy. You must be organized and have a positive attitude. Recruiters can smell desperation a mile away.
- Once you become a VIP client, you will gain immediate access to my groundbreaking online course HIRED IN HOLLYWOOD, which combines over 2 years of my expert coaching and 6 hours of video content. It is the first online course of its kind specifically helping entry-level Hollywood job candidates get hired faster.
- The course covers every aspect of the Hollywood job hunt with instructional videos, real-life templates, client success stories, and more.
- The course is completely online and you can take it at your own pace.
Notes from Kate:
I am a firm believer that knowledge is power. Even when we aren't on our coaching call, I'll expect you to be taking my online course, reading important books that pertain to the Hollywood job hunt, and feeding your mind the information you need to succeed!
- I periodically host online career panels with rising start Hollywood industry guest speakers.
- Once you become a VIP client, you will receive invitations to these special online events.
Notes from Kate:
One of the most important ways to learn is to hear real-life stories from people who have worked hard and succeed.
- In my private Next Gen Hollywood Facebook group, I will host monthly office hours and post important job hunt tips and success stories.
- This is a community for next generation leaders in the entertainment industry.
Notes from Kate:
The job hunt is often a very lonely, isolating experience. I remember the loneliness myself! Now, you can join my online community and finally feel like you have a community of like-minded colleagues. Also, you can ask questions and post success stories whenever you'd like.
- One of the biggest advantages of private career coaching is having accountability towards your goals. I'll hold you accountable, but instead of a chore, this will be fun!
- Between our coaching calls, you will have action items to attend to, and it is important that we tackle these items before our calls so we can keep progress moving forward.
Notes from Kate:
I think about it this way. Top athletes absolutely need coaches to build muscle, develop their mentality, and succeed. Why shouldn't we have coaches for the other things in life that matter most? Accountability is king.
Unlimited Email & Text Access To Kate
(M-F, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm EST)
- I know that last minute emails and questions pop up unexpectedly in the job hunt, and I want to be available for you when those things happen ourside of our coaching calls.
Notes from Kate:
The Hollywood job hunt happens VERY quickly, so I am someone who wants to be ready and available to answer my client's questions when they pop up. A simple update, question, or text can be the difference between botching an interview or landing the job.
"As a Recruiter focusing on hiring for a leading entertainment, media, and sports agency, I can always trust that Kate’s referrals are high caliber talent, as I’ve hired a few previously under her tutelage, who are now thriving at the company...Kate is truly the embodiment of what it means to be a successful, “fast riser” in the world of entertainment. ”Kristena HatcherCAA, HR Executive
"Kate was able to very kindly, but firmly give me the advice I needed to change my interview language to sound confident and competent. She also encouraged me to use my existing network to find an "in" in Hollywood as that is pretty much the only way to get a job in this town. It's all about who you know. Literally within only a few weeks of working with Kate, I used my existing network, and LANDED every single job I applied for. I'm not exaggerating. It was amazing! And throughout the process, Kate would check in with me to see how I was doing, which I really appreciated. I now work for a producer of a major TV show on Amazon and couldn't be happier! I am so grateful to Kate for all her advice and help in my job hunt!"Bria W.Amazon TVAssistant to Producer
"During my last semester of college, Kate guided me through all the steps to become a viable candidate in the industry and land the job I wanted. First, Kate turned my resume from one belonging to a teenager to one belonging to a professional, and I am so excited to now show it off! The night before my interview with WME, Kate and I spoke on the phone for an hour to prepare and review potential questions and answers, and the next day I landed the job! Kate has an unbelievable drive to help and sincerely cares about everyone she works with. I would highly recommend Kate to anyone looking for help with their resumes or for career advice. I am so grateful to you Kate, thank you so much!”Sam ChamptaloupAgency Assistant, William Morris Endeavor (WME)
"Trying to cross over from the theater world in New York to TV in LA, I reached out to Kate, a smart, trusted friend, who I knew had quickly worked her way up in TV Lit at ICM, and been named by Variety as an “Assistant to Watch.” Not only did she help me land an interview at one of the big four agencies right away, but through talking to her, I got a good lay of the land out here and have been able to move quickly into TV Lit and from the agency world into Development."Alec StrumDevelopment Executive, Fox Broadcasting Company
"For anyone serious about advancing their career in entertainment look no further. Kate and her expertise are truly an investment worth your while! I began working with Kate privately after her seminar at UCLA. I was very impressed by her experience and accomplishments within the entertainment industry as well as her ability to tailor her advisement for each individual’s unique circumstances. She has truly been amazing. Within a few weeks, I landed a position in reception at CAA! Throughout the process, Kate would check in and support me until I officially got hired. She is very committed to her clients and I am so appreciative of all she has done to help me land my job at CAA. She went above and beyond for me and I couldn’t have asked for more in a mentor."Yasmin JohnsonAgency Assistant, Creative Artists Ageny (CAA)
"Kate has gone far beyond the call of duty as a truly excellent mentor. After seeing her speak at Middlebury, it was clear that she gives the advice that other people won't. She enthusiastically provides genuine guidance, and doesn't sugarcoat the process of breaking into the entertainment industry. Over the past year, Kate put an enormous amount of time and effort into helping me land a job in the industry. I'm now in the mailroom at a top 4 agency! Thanks Kate!"Agency Assistant, Creative Artists Ageny (CAA)
"Wow! Where would I be without Kate? From improving my resume, to giving me advice on the difference between the industry in Los Angeles and New York, Kate was always there with any questions or help that I needed. Within a few weeks, I had interviews at ICM, WME and APA. We set up a call and spoke for over an hour on how to succeed in an interview. I am now working full-time at APA and I can 100% say that if it were not for Ms. Lupo, I would still be searching for ways to get my foot in the door!"

What can I say? My clients are the best...
"As a young, hopeful student trying to break her way into the entertainment industry, seeking advice and guidance from successful industry professionals is crucial. I’ve found that although there are a lot of professionals out there that are willing to help and give advice, there are very few people that will tell you exactly what you need to hear. Kate is one of those rare people. I was fortunate enough to attend Kate's “Phone Skills and Etiquette” entertainment workshop at the UCLA extension center, and I can honestly say that learning about how to roll calls could not have been any more fun! Kate was on fire, and her energy was infectious! She was passionate, engaging, and most importantly, she was extremely honest. Aside from helping us master the art of rolling calls, Kate spent time talking about her experience as a Hollywood assistant and really tried her best to paint an accurate picture of the reality of what it takes to be successful in the industry. As it turned out, I already had an interview set up with WME prior to attending Kate’s workshop, and I immediately reached out to Kate to set up a consultation. From helping me craft the perfect answer to everyone’s favorite “tell me about yourself” question to giving me helpful and constructive interview tips, it was extremely apparent to me how much Kate truly cared about helping young professionals in this industry. To my surprise, I was offered the internship position the next morning after my interview, and I would not have been able to make it happen without Kate’s advice and encouragement. Kate is one-of-a-kind, and anyone who is considering a career in entertainment would benefit enormously from her consultations and coaching. Kate didn't just give me pointers on how to ace my interview, she helped me find the confidence I needed to succeed. Thank you, Kate!"CASEY J.UCLA StudentWME Intern
"I can’t thank Kate enough for all the help that she provided me in landing a floater position at William Morris Endeavor. Our first discussion came only hours before I contacted the organization, and the advice she gave led to a complete overhaul of my existing resume. After making all of the necessary changes Kate had proposed, I emailed my resume to the company and was contacted to set up an initial interview the next day. Not only did Kate effectively target what she saw as errors in my resume, but she showed a true care for making sure that I was putting my best foot forward with this initial contact. Not to mention, all of this help came from our initial 30-minute introductory phone call!"TOMMY S.WME, Floater
"I heard about Kate on a Facebook group, where she was offering free 15-minute resume consultations. I had just moved to LA and just started applying for jobs so I thought it wouldn’t hurt to hear what she thought of my resume. She really liked my resume and before I knew it, she had recommended me for a job at a top commercial production company in LA. Before I went to the interview Kate was incredibly resourceful and gave me a walk through of what the Interview might be like, as it was my first Interview in Hollywood. Unfortunately I didn’t get the job, however I decided to attend her free lecture a few weeks later, which really opened my eyes. I always thought that the studios run Hollywood, but I learned that in reality the talent agencies really are the ones running Hollywood. Back then, I was really struggling with having the connections to get a job, but after Kate’s lecture I realized I had one contact at WME and after I reached out, I was set up with an interview and within a few days, I had a job. I really couldn’t have done it without Kate as nobody in my family has any background working in the Entertainment Industry and I went to college in Washington DC, where most people decide to go to New York, rather than moving across the country. Kate really taught me what to expect and how to be part of the entertainment industry by telling her story to me and so many other mentees she has. When I heard she was going to DC for a trip, I asked her if she would want to speak at my alma mater American University, as I personally wish I would have known what to expect before moving out to LA. I can only recommend anyone who is struggling with reaching their goal in Hollywood to reach out to Kate Lupo. She can teach you so much and I wouldn’t be where I am right now without her! Thank you Kate!"STEPHANIE D.Assistant, WME
"As an experienced entertainment professional, Kate was instrumental in both preparing me for the agency business and putting me in a position to secure a highly competitive trainee position at a top-four talent agency. Having made the steep climb from the mailroom to being named coordinator of ICM's TV Literary department in less than two years, her honest insight and practical knowledge (not to mention her substantial industry connections) were truly invaluable. Furthermore, her positivity and enthusiasm make her a pleasure to interact with. I'd highly recommend her consultancy to anyone interested in pursuing a career in the challenging yet greatly rewarding field of entertainment."
